Rosamund Pike got an Oscar nomination for her work in Gone Girl and it seems her practice for the role paid off… practice that she did with a Dora the Explorer doll!
The 37-year-old actress revealed during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Thursday (November 10) that she rehearsed love scenes for the movie with the doll.
“I rehearsed with a Dora the Explorer doll in my back yard, probably in full view of the neighbors,” Rosamund said. She says she also went to a local butchers to get violent with meat to practice Amy’s behavior.
“I’d never cut anyone’s throat so I went to a local butchers and with great determination set about the carcasses with a Stanley knife in full view of customers,” she said.
